Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Jason Meredith (“I”, “me”, or “my”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit jgmeredith.com(the “Site”).

Information I Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Name and email address — collected when you create an account. Used to authenticate you, send verification and password reset emails, and contact you about your account or access request.
  • Password — stored as a secure one-way hash. I never have access to your plain-text password.
  • Showcase access request details — when you request access to private visual case studies, I collect a reason for access (required) and, if you provide it, a LinkedIn or other professional profile URL (optional). These are used solely to review and decide whether to grant access.

Information collected automatically

  • Session data — a session token is created when you sign in and stored in your browser. This keeps you authenticated between visits and expires automatically.
  • Sign-up network context — when you register, I may store approximate location metadata supplied by the hosting platform (for example IP-derived country or city) and a network address, only to help detect abuse and review access requests.
  • CAPTCHA / bot protection— if enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes a challenge token when you sign up. That interaction is subject to Cloudflare's privacy practices.

I do not use third-party advertising networks or tracking pixels for ads. I do not collect payment information.

How I Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session
  • Send transactional emails (email verification, password reset, and notifications related to showcase access when applicable)
  • Review and manage access to role-restricted or approval-gated content (including private showcase materials)
  • Protect the Site against abuse and unauthorized access

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Showcase access requests

Private visual case studies are available only to users whose access has been approved. When you submit an access request, the reason and any profile URL you provide are stored with your account and may be reviewed by me. You will be notified of the outcome through your account experience on the Site (and email when that feature is used). See also the Terms of Service for how showcase content may be used.

Third-Party Services

The Site uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

  • Resend — processes outbound transactional emails (verification, password reset, and access-related notices). Your email address is transmitted to Resend only when sending these messages.
  • Prisma Data Platform / Neon — hosts the PostgreSQL database where account data is stored. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile(when enabled) — helps prevent automated sign-ups. See Cloudflare's privacy documentation for how challenge data is handled.
  • Vercel — hosts the Site and may process request metadata (including approximate geolocation headers) as part of delivery and security.

Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active, including access-request fields needed to administer permissions. If you request account deletion, I will remove your email address and associated personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for security or legal reasons.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

Cookies

The Site sets session cookies used for authentication (and related session cache). No advertising or tracking cookies are used for marketing.

Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
