AI Swing Trading App
A dense, EOD-only swing screener built for the way I actually trade
I’ve been swing trading for years with a simple, non-negotiable rule: I only act on completed daily candles. No mid-day noise. No half-formed signals. The entire candle — body and wicks — has to clear the 9-period average before it earns a place on my list.
Most screeners still treat that as an afterthought. They spit out partial bars, intraday noise, or “above the EMA” checks that ignore the wick. I got tired of fighting the tools, so I built the one I actually wanted.
Full Candle is a private, local-first style EOD screener focused on one thing: full-candle swings versus the 9 EMA or 9 SMA.
What it does
- Screens a liquid U.S. universe for names where the entire daily candle (high and low) sits cleanly above or below the 9-period line.
- Counts consecutive full-candle closes so you can see trend persistence at a glance.
- Scores every setup with letter grades based on trend, freshness, extension, MACD phase, RSI, and relative volume. Filters are adjustable so you can tighten or loosen the quality bar.
- Surfaces sector heat via SIC-mapped groups and a simple rotation board.
- Includes a lightweight options research layer (4–6 week long call/put lean) with chain stats and the ability to mark “bought this” contracts for later mark-to-market review.
- Comes with a private favorites journal — star names, keep them visible even if they fall outside the quality filters, and log suggested option entries for later P&L review.
Everything runs on finished cash-session data only. No incomplete bars. No after-hours guesswork.
Why this exists
I wanted something that matched the exact process I already use:
- Wait for the cash close.
- Look for full candles clearing the 9.
- Rank the quality of the setup.
- Check sector context.
- Decide whether the options market is confirming or fighting the idea.
- Write it down so I can review it later without hunting through charts.
Most platforms force you to piece that together across three or four different tools. Full Candle keeps it in one dense, fast view.
Current status
The app is live at fullcandle.com but remains private for now. There is no public signup yet. Public registration and a paid subscription layer are planned for later.
This is still a research tool, not a signal service. Not investment advice. Market data can be delayed or incomplete. You use it at your own risk.
If you’ve been looking for a screener that treats the full daily candle as the unit of analysis instead of just the close, this is the tool I built for myself. More updates as it opens up.
